Details on the third expansion for Tom Clancy's The Division have been revealed.
Dubbed Expansion III: Last Stand, the next update for Ubisoft's popular third-person shooter adds a "dedicated, separate player combat arena" that provides a more structured way to face off against your friends in PVP than the more open-ended style of play the Dark Zone offers.
As detailed in a post on the The Division's official site, "Last Stand is session based and features clear objectives and win conditions, while still incorporating aspects of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and Landmarks."
In addition, Last Stand will bring with it a new Incursion, which Ubisoft will provide details on sometime in the near future. Update 1.6 is also on the horizon, which will soon bring balance changes that, in combination with the release of the expansion, will serve as an "important part in revitalizing player combat in The Division."
Expansion III: Last Stand will launch simultaneously across PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and will be available as part of the Season Pass or as a standalone purchase.
